lake When the cotyledon is mostly gone, what can I use to grow lentils?

I thoughts it would be interesting to try and see if I can grow lentils (up to a point) without soil, on a paper towel. The seeds (20) have already germinated, and have roots and very small green leaves, but they seem to be withering now. I have "fed" them with apple juice (I made myself from apples, not the acidic ones you can buy in stores. By "fed" I mean watered them with apple juice), hoping to get them some minerals to make food from. Any suggestion? What can I try to feed them? Do you think this is going to work, or it's just a stupid idea?there
