Sounds like you might be interested in studying communication. If you want to study psychology you can just take a cl or two to see if it's a good fit for you. If you want your degree, it's 4 years. If you want to be a psychotherapist, you're looking at a Master's which is another year or two. If you want to be a psychologist, you're looking at a PhD.
